OB/GYN SERVICES WITH PERSONAL CARE

We offer a wide variety of OB/GYN treatments

Women's health isn't one-size-fits-all. And yet, so often, that's exactly how it's treated.

Two women can have the same cycle length, the same "label", even the same age, and still need completely different care.
We see too many women being treated like a checklist, a set of symptoms to "manage." But we've built our practice differently. One that listens first, investigates deeper, and personalizes care to each unique journey.

Your care should be built around you.

Book an appointment today, we can't wait to meet you.

THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW ABOUT

ob/gyn treatments

What does it mean when my Pap comes back "abnormal"?

It can mean lots of things. There are lots of Pap abnormalities and it's on a spectrum of results. It won't just come back 'abnormal, there will be a more definitive pathological result.

What's a common cause of abnormalities?

Typically they're a result of HPV, a sexually-transmitted virus that ~90% of
patients have been exposed to if they're sexually active. The body normally clears the virus on it's own!

What do we do if my Pap shows any abnormalities?

Depending on the results and other factors, it could be as simple as repeating your Pap in a year. Other times it could be performing another diagnostic test to get answers. Every case is different!

How does PCOS affect fertility and conception?

A mainstay of PCOS is anovulation, meaning your body may not ovulate regularly. This obviously can impact someone's ability to get pregnant.

What can we do if I don't ovulate regularly?

There are many things we can do, from prescription medications to help stimulate ovulation to helping you implement diet and lifestyle changes to support ovulation.

Can birth control help clear my acne?

It can! If your ache is hormonally-driven, then we absolutely have birth control options that may help clear it up.

Is there a specific type of birth control that works best for clearing acne?

There's a birth control pill called Yaz that has a special progesterone in it called drospirenone that we know helps with hormonal ache, but we always recommend on a patient by patient basis.

I've been on the pill for over 10 years...will that effect my fertility?

We're less worried about how long you've been on the pill and more concerned with figuring out what your cycle without birth control actually looks like.

What are my birth control options?

We offer several options, both hormonal and non-hormonal! We choose the right one based on your lifestyle and goals."

I'm nervous about the side effects of hormonal birth control, like acne and weight gain. What are my options?

IUDs are a great option. It keeps your cycle manageable without the typical birth control side effects. They can even be effective for treating heavy periods!

We've been TTC for almost a year with no luck. When should we seek out testing?

Here are the current guidelines:
If you're 35 and younger, we start infertility workups after one year of TTC.
If you're over 35, we start infertility workups after 6 months of TTC.

first obgyn visit?

We know it can feel intimidating.

Most think that a young woman's GYN visits should start after they're sexually active (or if they're thinking about it)...
BUT THAT'S NOT THE WHOLE PICTURE.
Early visits are about education, reassurance, and prevention.

have questions?

The first GYN visit isn't a "when you're sexually active" milestone, it's a "let's learn about your body" milestone.

The first few years after puberty are when girls' cycles, hormones, and confidence are still finding their balance. Seeing an OBGYN early helps normalize conversations about their body, spot issues like pain or irregular cycles, and build trust with a provider they can grow with.

THESE VISITS HELP BUILD COMFORT AND TRUST,
so when the big questions come later, she already has a safe place to turn.
Starting early = setting her up for
lifelong confidence in her body.

AN APPOINTMENT IS A GOOD IDEA WHEN:
  • Periods are very irregular or painful

  • She's dealing with severe acne or mood swings
  • You want her to learn what's normal during puberty

  • She's ready to start talking about cycle health or birth control options
